Field Farm,   Antique, Antique Plus, Open/Combined

TRACTORS 1957 AND OLDER OR PRODUCTION MODELS THAT STARTED IN 1957. Farm Field class only may be 1965 or older.

1. Two (2) areas will be marked off for tractors participating in the pull. A "Staging" area for tractors waiting their turn to pull and an "On Deck" area near the track for the next tractor to pull in the current class.

2. Pulling will be done in the order of weight and the pulling order (light to heavy or heavy to light) will be determined at each pull.

3. When hitching and unhitching from the sled, tractors must be in neutral, with the driver's foot off the clutch and their hands in the air. The driver must remain seated at all times and keep at least one hand on the steering wheel during their pull. The driver must obey all signals from the flagman. The driver must remain in control of the tractor at all times during their pull.

4. The chain must be tight and the driver must have the green signal from the flagman before proceeding with their pull.

5. The pull is ended when forward motion stops, the tractor stalls, the tractor reaches a side boundary or when tractors without wheelie bars raise their front end more than 18" off the ground or at the flagman's discretion.

6. A second attempt is allowed if the tractor stops within 50' of the starting line. If the 50' mark is passed, the pull distance will be where it stopped. The 50' line will be marked with a cone or marker.

7. All tractors must cross the scale on the way to the sled. Failure to do so will result in a disqualification for that class.

8. Any tractor or puller found to be unsafe or illegal can be disqualified or barred from hooking.

9. Any thing falling off the tractor after being hooked and moving down the track and until the tractor is stopped and unhooked will result in a disqualification.

10. Contact point of tractor and sled must remain in bounds at all times. Out of bounds will result in disqualification. No measurement will be taken after disqualification.

11. If a class is restarted for any reason, all tractors that are registered in the class and that have already pulled will be allowed to re-pull.

12. NEW IN 2011 - a tractor may compete more than once in a class, but only one driver will be eligible for a trophy.   Only one driver may sign up the tractor for points for the season.

13. Each pull will have three judges. In case of a dispute, the judges and flagman shall have the final say.

14. Front weights, in all classes, may not extend more that 11" from the center of the rear axle, and rear weights must not extend rearward beyond the rear tires.

15. All tractors must be safe, with safe fenders required in all classes.

16. There will be a $10.00 hook fee per class. The fee must be paid at the time of registration. A trophy will be awarded for the first three (3) places.

17. Any violation of the rules or unpartisan-like conduct be a driver will be cause for disqualification of that driver. The judges will issue the disqualification to that driver.

18. Owners and drivers will not hold the contest committee, judges, or the organization connected with the contest responsible in any way, for the damage, theft or injury to persons or property. All participation is at your own risk and without obligation.

19. All drivers under 18 years of age must have a signed liability waiver by a parent or guardian. The Lakeshore Club personnel will provide the waiver to that driver. Also, the driver must be able to demonstrate to the technical committee their ability to proficiently handle and operate the tractor they entered. The technical committee has the final say regarding the driver's eligibility to participate in the pull.

20. Absolutely NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OR ILLEGAL DRUGS ARE ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES. Violations will result in immediate disqualification of the driver and tractor and may be reported to the law enforcement personnel.

21. The technical committee will interpret all rules. The technical committee will rule on any unforeseen problems or oversights and their rulings will be final.

22. If tractor you are pulling has been replaced up to and including 1957, you may run that tractors replacement RPM'S.

23. Hitches must be no more than an inch thick of material. The hitch must have a 3 inch minimum hole with a maximum 1 inch material thickness to the back of the hole. Hitch material can be no thinner that 1/2 inch and not thicker that 1 inch.

24. Each tractor can be in two (2) points classes. Driver must be a member to pull a points tractor in a points class. There must be 2 tractors in chosen points class and participate in no less than 3 pulls during pulling season.

25. The combined class is for all tractors. However, no tractor may pull in an antique class and jump to an open class.

26. There will be a speed limit horn in farm field, antique, and antique plus classes. There will be allowed 2 beeps. If a third beep is given it will result in disqualification. The flagman will signal number of beeps received. At 3 beeps, the flagman will stop the tractor at that point.

27. PROTEST PROCEDURE any protest filed with the flagman or track person will result in both the tractor and the protester's tractor being checked. The protester must be a puller in the same class. The protest must be made before the tractor leaves the end of the track. You must go to the flagman or tech person to protest a tractor. Once the tractor leaves the end of the track, no protest can be made. Rules committee has the right to protest any tractor at any time, on or off the track. All decisions are final. All judge's decisions are final. Track judges have the right to stop the pull at anytime.

FIELD FARM

FIELD FARM is designed for beginning pullers and stock tractors. It was included to promote stock pulling. Tractors made in 1965 or before may compete in these classes.

1. GENERAL RULES-see general rules that apply to all tractors.

2. ENTRY.. A tractor cannot be entered in classes below its manufactured shipping weight. We will be using the HOT LINE BOOK exclusively for determining the shipping weight of a make of tractor. The HOT LINE BOOK will determine the weight class. The weight class plus a 300 lb variance will determine the weight the tractor can weigh.

3.TIRES. Absolutely NO CUT TIRES. Absolutely no modifications tolerated. If it appears modified in any way, you will be required to pull in antique class.

4. RIMS AND WHEELS. Wheels with rims for manufacturer's original recommendations to include cut-downs for tractors that may have been originally on steel wheels. Cannot be more than two (2) sizes maximum over original equipment.

5. SPEED. Low gear only. Not allowed to shift torque or gear. Horn will be set at 3 mph.

6. WEIGHTS. Weights of bolt-on type to either front or back wheels. No concrete or suitcase weights allowed. Manufactured weights only.

7. ENGINE. Stock block, naturally aspirated. Exceptions: Oliver 99 GM, etc. Stock head, manifold and carburetor (by part number). Manifolds are to be replacement manufactured parts accepted for that make and model tractor. Stock RPM. Engine parts not in the parts book or replacement parts book for that specific tractor cannot be used. Exceptions: distributors can be used on antique tractors. A factory coil must be used. No square coils, MSD coils or chrome coils allowed. Exception: an electronic pickup inside the original stock distributor or magneto can be used, but distributor or magneto must maintain original appearance.

8. HITCHES. Maximum 16" height (stationary in all directions). On tractors such as IH fast hitch, Ford 3-point hitch, etc. must be locked at 16". Hitches must be as from the factory, unaltered for that specific tractor. Operator must furnish a straight up and down clevis with a minimum opening of 2.5" pinned tightly with spaces to the draw bar. Hitch measured at hook point of clevis. Farmall H's and M's must pull from an original draw bar hooked to the original belly hook point.

9. SAFTEY. The front wheels of the tractor are not allowed to exceed 18" off the ground during a pull or at the flagman's discretion.

10. APPEARANCE. Tractors must maintain original stock appearance. Tractors must have fenders or substitute fenders to ensure the safety of the driver.
